Hey deviants! I know it's been quite sometime since I actually submitted a journal and as a result, I think this is quite a good time to start writing a new entry (seeing as the ... uh... last one was a little while ago now!)
Okey-dokey then! I'm since involved in an indie film project entitled 'Rock Band Vs Vampires' and as such, I've been allowed (very kindly by the writer/director) to compose some artistic pieces for the project - so - I've done just that very thing! They're up on here now and it's been quite fun experimenting with my style a little bit. I like the 'sketchy-look' (truth be told) and so I've decided to go back to my drawing book roots (if you will) and continue that 'look' and 'flow' to my style. I just love it! Very freeing and incredibly refreshing!
All of that having been said, I still adore the 'look' and appeal of my 'Black Satin' series of works and I would wager solidly that those characters shall return at any given point - although what I am going to do with them - I honestly have no idea! *
So for now, going on this bent with RBVV (yep - that's the acronym for 'Rock Band Vs Vampires' - duh! ) and continuing along those lines whilst the project is going through the somewhat typical highs and lows of indie-feature film development - anything to help it along really! It's just a damn fun project. It reminds me of fun B-Grade schlock with a slight edge to it (this is what seems to be a common thing now I've noticed more and more among the B-Grader's of late) but RBVV really does have an interesting and intelligent edge to its writing and characterization. It's getting made of course, but fingers are crossed well and truly that it keeps finding its feet and momentum as it goes through the drama of production right now!
Why not? I'm banging on about it enough here, so if you would like to keep up with all things RBVV, please drop on by the Facebook page and keep up with the developments. Here's the link: www.facebook.com/RockBandVsVam…
Well, cheers everyone! Best get back to it - it's going to be a busy couple of months. Hope all is going swimmingly in the deviantART-iverse with every other creative type!
Best vibes to ya' with some lovin' for good measure,
